Damon Johncour, CO, BOCP

Owner/Certified Practitioner

Damon is a Certified Orthotist and Prosthetist with over eighteen years experience in the O & P field. He began in the field as a technician with Fidelity Orthotics & Prosthetics from 1987 to 1990 in Dayton, Ohio. Damon then moved to Texas in 1991, where he completed his undergraduate degree with honors in Sports Medicine from the University of Texas at Tyler.

From there, Damon attended Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, Illinois where he received a Certificate in Orthotics. He then completed a 2 ½ year residency at MD Orthotic & Prosthetics. During that period, Damon attended several pediatric orthopedic clinics in the Children’s Memorial Hospital system where he worked closely with physicians in a CP (cerebral palsy), spina bifida, and scoliosis clinic.

In 1998, Damon and his family relocated to Raleigh, accepting a position with a local practice where he provided O & P clinics at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro, Maria Parham Medical Center, Henderson and Wilson Memorial Hospital.

In 2003, Damon founded North Carolina Orthotics & Prosthetics with the goal of providing a whole new level of orthotic and prosthetic care. The practice has since grown to four office locations and is planning future growth based on current success.

Damon has three children. His wife, Cindy, works as an MRI technician in Raleigh. Outside of his work, Damon enjoys time with family, playing golf and many other outdoor activities.
