KC began his career in orthotics and prosthetics by attending Median School of Allied Health Careers located in Pittsburgh, PA. Upon graduation he relocated to North Carolina where he spent the next five years working as a technician, specializing in the fabrication of custom orthotic braces and prosthetic limbs.
With a desire to work directly with patients, KC obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Service Science from Point Park University. Soon after, he graduated from Northwestern University’s Prosthetic Orthotic Center’s Prosthetic Practitioner Program which is integrated into the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. KC completed a National Commission of Orthotic & Prosthetic Education Residency in private practice in Vermont, serving the Fletcher Allen Hospital System, Northwestern Medical Center, Copley Hospital, and the VA Medical Center.
After completing residency KC returned to North Carolina in 2003 working in private practice, providing orthotic and prosthetic care to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, Cape Fear Valley Rehabilitation Center, Highsmith-Rainey Memorial Hospital, and Scotland Memorial Hospital. KC also routinely attended the Amputee Clinic at the VA Medical Center in Fayetteville.
In 2005 KC joined North Carolina Orthotics and Prosthetics, co-founding an office in Roanoke Rapids where he practices today. He currently provides orthotic and prosthetic services to Halifax Regional Medical Center, Maria Parham Medical Center, and Granville Medical Center.
KC served as the President of the North Carolina Orthotic and Prosthetic Trade Association in 2007 and 2008.
